Having only 2 pips of regen as your main set is not very wise. Even with OoB, I wouldn't recommend it.

Fair enough... question however, do you often play with PUGs or with a group of friends/guild? You can never really anticipate what will happen with players that you've never been with before. Someone could always aggro an extra group of fresh monsters, or aggro too early before yourself and fellow casters are still waiting to refill.

Also, by having a normal set with a 20/20 and some wand is still better overall. Until you *need* that extra energy, you might as well have that extra two pips of regen. That extra energy will always be there at the push of a button when you make a focus switch.

The other variable is *if* you have a BiP necro. You can't really rely on a variable that you can't control. Especially, if your bipper dies.

imo i dont really think that blood builds are strong.... i mean they drain ur hp and stuff but the dmg is the nukers job (if ur in a group that is) the only reason i htink blood is useful is battery :: WoB :: WoP.... and awaken the blood for those SS necros..... i may be utterly wrong but its just my point of view

Yes, well, you think wrong. Atleast dont say anything at all untill you tried it.

Blood is extremely effective because it takes down enemies without armor reduction, meaning - what you see is what you get. Raw damage.

All the heavy armor units drop fast with Blood, all the normal armor units drop at the same rate as for elementalists.

My build;

Life Siphon
Life Transfer
Dark pact
Vamp Gaze
Shadow Strike
Vamperic Touch
Awaken the Blood
Well of Blood

Alternative build (group with two nuking necros)

Life Siphon
Touch of Agony
Dark pact
Vamp Gaze
Shadow Strike
Vamperic Touch
Awaken the Blood
Well of Power

Gordacs Hook Blood+Needle

16 Blood/13 Soul Reaping

A party that I always play with consists of; 2 healing monks 1 bonder 1 book holder (warrior) 2 blood spikers 2 echo nukers. Needless to say, we kill everything very fasr, not saying it's the best setup, but we can easily clear the entire fow without dying and quick aswell.

From everything you use, I would pass up on Unholy Feast, Mark of Subversion and Strip Enchantment. As a blood spiker, you need to spike, neither of those spells (perhaps mark of subversion) mentioned are good in a spiking sequence. Also, you dont have any skills for the spellbreaker mobs, vamperic touch and touch of agony are good for those.

All I can say is, if it works for you then use it. If you prefer higher engery over regen speed then thats what you go for.

As necro/Mesmer you could make an echo SS or massive degen, both pretty good
